Position description:

• Oversee the restaurant and reporting to the Captain of the Restaurant.

• Ensure the smooth operation of the shift through customer focused service delivery.

• Conduct on the job training in accordance with the departmental standards and procedures.

• Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with company standards. Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all company policies and procedures relating to Health & Hygiene.

• Taking ownership and ensure that the billing procedure is thorough, correct and signed at completion of each meal.
• Being confident that the service is at all times performed in a professional manner and to the style as specified by the Restaurant Manager.
• To collate information and feedback while attending all staff briefings before each service.
• Completing all established set-up duties on time as well as following restaurant opening & closing procedures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum experience of 3 years in a similar position in 5 star hotel is necessary
• Previous experience in fine dining restaurants will be considered an asset
• Extensive knowledge of wine will be considered an asset
• Previous experience with POS systems, Micros preferred
• Advanced use of English language, both spoken and written
• Strong Communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent command of English. Knowledge of an additional foreign language (as French) will be considered an asset.

• Teamwork spirit. A team player able to work in a high-pressure environment
•  whilst maintaining a calm and collected manner

• Degree in Hospitality / Tourism (desirable)
