Junior Accountant

Your Role
As part of a highly motivated team your main role is to perform accounting transactions accurately through timely preparation of journal entries & account reconciliations. It is important to understand thoroughly the accounting principles and consistently exceed expectations and deliver exceptional results.
Your Responsibilities
- Post and process journal entries to ensure accurate and timely transaction reporting, including expenses and bank transactions
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy
- Create, review, and post expense reports in accordance with company policies
- Oversee compliance with myDATA procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Support various accounting, tax, and finance projects, as needed
- Collaborate with external auditors by providing necessary documentation and support
- Maintain and archive physical and digital accounting records for compliance and accessibility
- Foster strong cross-departmental relationships to enhance efficiency and collaboration
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
- Up to 2years of experience in the travel industry or a similar corporate role
- Good knowledge of Greek GAAP
- First-rate written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Excellent user of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Results-driven personality, with energy, commitment and a passion for personal development
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to successfully resolve issues
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling
- Ability to work efficiently and deliver results within tight deadlines
