The Finance function is responsible for financial reporting, controls, and analysis for the local office, reporting directly to the GM and CEO. This team plays a critical role in supporting both internal and external stakeholders.
As a Senior Accounts Assistant, you will be an integral part of the Finance team, contributing to core accounting and financial operations for a key segment of the business. Your role will involve ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes while supporting the company’s overall financial strategy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial monitoring and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate all on-site accounting functions and serve as the primary liaison for corporate accounting requests.
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries, including prepayments, accruals, intercompany recharges, and month-end adjustments.
- Manage the preparation of VAT declarations, MyData reporting, and assist in local Greek accounting and tax compliance.
- Support the preparation of year-end financial statements and regulatory reports.
- Assist in maintaining and improving internal controls and accounting systems.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support the local management team.
- Identify and drive continuous improvements in financial processes and business operations.
- Perform additional financial and administrative duties as required to meet business needs.
- Support month-end closing processes, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data.
- Oversee financial transactions and monitor their implementation.
- Assist with accounting and compliance-related tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Liaise with public authorities, banks, accountants, auditors, and social security offices.
- Provide high-level administrative and financial support, including document review, information research, and problem-solving.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Greek tax accounting, including MyData and VAT regulations.
- 4-5 years of relevant experience, preferably within a multinational environment.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in SoftOne and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced international environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
