As we continue to expand across the European market, we are seeking a talented and experienced Lighting Specifier / Lighting Estimator to join our team in Athens, Greece.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in lighting design, product specification, and estimation. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of lighting products, extensive relationships with vendors and factories across Europe, and the ability to source and specify high-quality, value-engineered lighting solutions for projects across the EU and the UK. This individual will play a key role in preparing client-facing proposals and managing submittal packages while collaborating with our headquarters in the USA and local teams in Athens.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lighting Specification and Estimation:

2. Prepare detailed lighting specifications, cost estimates, and quotes tailored to client needs.

3. Develop as-specified, controlled value engineering (VE), and full VE lighting packages for client consideration.

4. Pull and assemble comprehensive submittal packages for project approvals.

5. Vendor and Factory Relationships:

6. Build and maintain strong relationships with European lighting manufacturers and vendors.

7. Source and evaluate lighting products and components to ensure compliance with EU standards and project specifications.

8. Stay updated on market trends, innovations, and advancements in lighting technology.

9. Project Collaboration:

10. Work closely with the Athens office and corporate HQ in the USA to align project goals and objectives.

11. Collaborate with clients, architects, designers, and contractors to ensure smooth execution of lighting packages.

12. Provide technical expertise and support throughout project development and implementation.

13. Client Support and Business Development:

14. Assist in presenting proposals and quotes to clients, ensuring a clear understanding of options and benefits.

15. Provide tailored lighting solutions that meet client needs and expectations.

16. Support the business development team in identifying and securing new opportunities in the European market.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in lighting design, architecture, engineering, or a related field.

2. 5+ years of experience in lighting design, specification, or estimation within the European market.

3. Strong understanding of LED technology, lighting systems, and EU standards.

4. Established network of vendors and manufacturers across Europe.

5. Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.

6. Proficient in lighting design software (e.g., Dialux, Relux) and CAD tools.

7. Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are a plus.

8. Ability to create and manage quotes, submittals, and comprehensive client-facing packages.

9. Willingness to travel within Europe as needed.
