Role Overview:
- Lead and oversee electrical commissioning activities for power and industrial projects abroad, ensuring successful handover to the operator.
- Perform hands-on commissioning of electrical systems and components, including transformers, protection systems, medium and low-voltage switchgears, DC systems, rectifiers, inverters, motorized valves, instruments, motors for pumps and fans, etc., using relevant testing equipment.
- Conduct electrical system testing, troubleshooting, and complete all necessary commissioning documentation and protocols.
- Implement and adhere to equipment clearance (LOTO) procedures, Job Safety Analysis, Work Authorization, Confined Space, and Hot Work Permit processes.
- Authorized to plan and execute low-voltage (LV) electrical isolations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, guide external partners and subcontractors, and maintain effective communication with customers.
- Manage and lead a team of LV/MV/HV electrical technicians, contributing resourceful updates during daily Plan of the Day meetings.
- Ensure all site activities adhere to project specifications and comply with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
- Participate in walk-downs during turnover from construction to commissioning, addressing outstanding issues to facilitate system start-up.
- Review and refine commissioning procedures as needed.
- Report directly to the Lead Electrical and Commissioning Manager.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in power station and industrial commissioning (MV/LV and I&C), with a proven record in leading similar projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong team-oriented mindset, capable of working effectively with international teams and diverse cultures.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
