ICAP Executive Search & Selection on behalf of a well-established and financially robust Greek Commercial company with leading status in its industry and strong international activity, is seeking an experienced and driven professional to join its leadership team as Finance Director.
Finance Director (Ref. 5793/FD/ESS/GR)
Role Overview:
The Finance Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of a company currently undergoing a transformational phase aimed at strengthening its market position.
Reporting to the CEO, the FD will ensure the effective operation of the finance and accounting department, drive change management initiatives, and foster collaboration with the business partners to achieve the company goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Contribute to achieving business objectives by guiding the financial planning, working efficiently with all business partners and leading the finance department team.
- Monitor all required analysis and reporting related to accounting and financial performance, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Monitor treasury activities and manage cash flow to ensure payments and sufficient funds are available.
- Lead or participate in internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of financial controls within the company.
- Act as a key agent of change, implementing and refining quality controls and optimizing workflows to support the company's transformation initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in accounting & finance, with significant experience in a finance senior position.
- In-depth experience in treasury management and extensive experience in people management.
- BSc in Finance, Accounting, Business or relevant discipline. MBA/MSc or other professional qualification are highly desired.
- Proficient in ERP accounting systems, Office applications, and especially Excel; knowledge of Entersoft ERP is a plus.
- Up-to-date understanding of Greek and International accounting standards.
- A class signatory right.
- Fluent in both English and Greek (written and spoken).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Hands-on experience in leading and implementing change initiatives in finance functions.
