About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Director of Finance to oversee all financial aspects of business and drive the company’s financial strategy and planning, while being responsible for assessing the overall financial performance of the company as well as potential risks and investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align management style, working practices and conduct with One&Only Kea Island and Kerzner’s vision, Global Support values, operating standards and policies. To comply with Kerzner’s code of conduct at all times.
- Ensure that Policies and Procedures are in place and operating, or that appropriate deviations are requested from the Global Office Finance;
- Present and explain variances to financial objectives to the General Manager, Owners and relevant Department Heads in a clear and concise manner with recommendations for future corrective action.
- Practice effective cash flow management and communicate all significant cash flows to global support on a regular basis.
- In conjunction with the General Manager, the Director, Finance is responsible for compliance with: relevant contractual and legal obligations, Kerzner International Finance Policies, the Resort Management Contract, all other Kerzner and One&Only Kea Island Policies related to finance department.
- Personally build clear and open lines of communication with all departments
- Understand and abide by all Government laws relating to the Finance department.
- Be actively involved in maintaining all Kerzner International programs relating to finance.
- Be critical and demanding of operating standards and procedures.
- Monitor and control all financial aspects of the business including the preparation of the annual business plan.
- Implement and monitor programs to maintain the condition of resort assets.
- Actively monitor all the third party contracting with One&Only Kea Island. Negotiate the terms and condition in favor of resort.
- Analysis and evaluate all CAPEX project requirement and send for approval to global support.
- Ensure colleagues are aware of their duty of care as determined by legislation and that they maintain complete familiarity.

- Actively participate in sales presentations, property tours and customer meetings.
- Deliver a monthly report on Key issues, developments, outstanding works, and personal and financial concerns to GM and cc EXCOM.
- Undertake additional duties as requested by the General Manager or Global office Finance.
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 2 Years’ experience in a similar position in an executive committee capacity
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop colleagues.
- Be innovative, financially savvy, connect emotionally with internal customer.
- Be well versed in the Colleagues competencies of Kerzner International,
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, People Management Skills.
- Well verged with technology, which helps Finance to take next level.
