ICAP Executive Search & Selection on behalf of a leader in industry solutions, is looking for a driven professional for the position of the Cost Controller, based in Athens.
Cost Controller
The Cost Controller will oversee cost management and operational efficiency in the client’s production units, ensuring accurate cost tracking, inventory optimization, and process improvements. This role reports to the CFO and collaborates with Finance, Accounting and Business Controlling teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cost control strategies, monitoring variances and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain and update cost data in SAP for accurate inventory valuation.
- Analyze workflows, optimize processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct financial analyses, prepare reports, and support budgeting and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance through regular audits and inventory reconciliations.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams for efficient inventory management.
- Provide training and act as a liaison between finance and production teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA, CMA preferred).
- 5+ years in cost management, procurement, or supply chain, ideally in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of SAP, IFRS, and cost analysis methodologies.
- Strong IT skills (Excel) and English proficiency.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel frequently to the production sites in Athens and Thessaloniki
