Role description
The Bartender will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, communicating menu options effectively, handling cash, and creating and serving beverages on-site at our hotel in Athens.
Responsibilities
- Prepare coffee, drinks, and other bar beverages for guests in accordance with the department's Standard Operating Procedures.
- Collaborate with supervisors and the team to uphold the highest standards of service as determined by the management team.
- Contribute to the development of the Bar menu by participating in the creation of new cocktails and assisting in the refinement of the drink list.
- Maintain an efficient and consistent flow of service to ensure that standards are consistently met during all service periods.
- Ensure that all Bar equipment and necessary items for service are properly prepared and readily available.
- Employ efficient practices to minimize beverage wastage and ensure the security of stock under your responsibility.
- Maintain a consistently well-stocked and meticulously clean bar environment at all times.
- Provide a positive guest experience by delivering exceptional service.
- Assist in driving sales by offering relevant and appropriate suggestions to guests regarding cocktails and other beverage options.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in luxury hotels
- A degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field, or certification from a recognized bar association
- Deep expertise and proven experience in cocktail creation
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, coupled with a high degree of flexibility to adapt to dynamic work environments.
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills, enabling effective interaction with team members and guests alike.
- Upholds integrity in all professional dealings, maintaining a commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct.
- Keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks
- Prior experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems is preferred.
- Proficiency in both Greek and English languages is desirable
- A collaborative team player with the ability to work under pressure
