As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are seeking to hire an experienced and visionary HR & Payroll Manager.. 

Position Summary

The HR & Payroll Manager will be responsible for leadership and guidance in all areas of human resources management of the new property of the Group in South Crete ensuring a smooth and successful opening of the season 2025. This is a key role that holds critical responsibilities that will determine the successful first-time implementation of the Group’s HR Strategy in the new property. Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Implementing the pre-opening critical path for the HR department
  • In coordination with CHRO the hew HR & Payroll Manager will build the new HR team
  • Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including employment & payroll processing, talent acquisition & recruiting, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, employee records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee retention, and labor relations
  • Develops and implements HR operational plans and budgets
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Monitors employee achievements, performs periodic performance appraisals, consolidates performance highlights and issues for presentation to the direct line manager and provides guidance or coaching to direct reports/line management in performing their delegated duties.
  • Ensures that HR administration practices are maintained according to the Group’s standards and directions
  • Properly manages the in-house payroll system by maintaining personnel records and providing the Group’s HR with relevant reporting
  • Submission of all IS ERGANI forms (hiring, dismissals, contract expirations and renewals, part-time contracts, internship forms, work programs, etc.)
  • Advising and coordinating with the Heads of Departments for submission of work programs - checking compliance with time rules
  • Acts as the collaborative stakeholder of the Hotel GM in all employee related issues by providing with expert advice and supporting effective decision making thru HR metrics
  • Maintains an effective internal communication with the Hotel GM as well as the Heads of Departments, regarding staffing needs and procedures, annual budgets, and other relevant matters
  • Nurtures a positive working environment and cascades to all staff the collaborative and high performing culture of the Group
  • Leads, coaches, develops and appraises direct reporting staff.


Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Economics, Business Administration or a related field is required
  • A Master’s degree in HR or Management will be an asset
  • At least 3 years of Payroll experience in the hospitality industry is required
  • Excellent knowledge of State Labor Laws and regular updates
  • Excellent knowledge of MS-Office (Word, Excel necessary)
  • Strong knowledge of HR software systems, preferably Epsilon Applications, such as Pylon-Net payroll program and ESS
  • Strong knowledge of IS ERGANI
  • Professional discipline, written and oral communication skills and a team spirit of cooperation between the HR department and the other departments
  • Ability and previous experience in steering a high volume, fast paced seasonal working environment
  • Ability to communicate with full efficiency being in a multinational and multicultural environment
  • Demonstrates emotional maturity and sensitivity, as well as flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
  • Presents creative and innovative ideas approaching difficulties in an elaborate way
  • Leadership, supervision and significant administrative, numerical, analytical and project management skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Understands and demonstrates sound internal customer service, supporting the achievement of corporate goals
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous in demanding situations
  • Excellent knowledge of English language
