The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of “IT Technician”, for its premises in Chalkidiki. The position will be reported to the IT Manager of the IT Department at Olympias. 

Main Responsibilities:  

• Supports the daily operations of the HG IT department including administrative computing, networking, user services, telecommunications and other IT functions and tasks. 

• Assists in Internet and computer operations and the compliance of the established IT policies for HG Kassandra Mines. 

• Supports departmental and end user needs and resolves problems. 

• Assists in the operations, administration, monitoring and maintenance of all the IT systems and communications networks for Hellas Gold. 

• Assists the implementation and maintenance of enterprise IT systems and network infrastructure for LAN and WAN connectivity and remote access supporting business operations. 

• Assists in the evaluation and implementation of changes in hardware and software. 

• Assists in the execution of the different IT projects which were budgeted under the various departments. 

• Supports in ensuring the provision of high quality, highly available IT and business services and first-class support with tight SLAs. 

• Assists in ensuring the provision of high-quality support and “customer” services since our end users are our customers. 

• Helps in supporting the resulting complex IT operations of such an environment. 

• Assists in the support of the IT, Business, Network and communication systems. 

• Supports in resolving complex technical hardware or software problems which may arise in crisis situations. 

• Assists and ensures the provision of high-quality IT Business services including support and customer services. 

• Assists in maintaining the highest level of compliancy to the corporate policies and requirements. 

Requirements: 

• Secondary level / Vocational diploma or any other relevant certification in IT related field.  

• A higher-level diploma/degree and/or other relevant certification is desirable but not required. 

• Any equivalent combination of extensive experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and ability may qualify. 

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Good prioritization skills. 

• Great IT skills and in-depth knowledge combined with a good understanding of IT operations. 

• Effective verbal, presentation, listening and written communications skills. 

• Ability to explain complex systems in simple terms. 

• Ability to work to tight deadlines and within constraints. 

• Time-management skills and ability to work under pressure. 

• Team working spirit.
