Job purpose

Product Marketing Manager - Language Qualifications - will create and execute innovative 360° GTM strategies for his/her assigned products and drive awareness and engagement towards high global adoption and significant growth.

 

Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for supporting the Language qualifications portfolio from a product marketing perspective and the English-Speaking World markets in terms of regional marketing. You will act as the enabler for the promotion of all products and services, and drive planning and implementation of all marketing activities and marketing material for your designated products and markets.

 
Duties and responsibilities

·       Plan the launch of new products and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan

·       Develop a data-driven value proposition per target group that differentiates the products in the market

·       Analyze competitive landscape and suggest marketing strategy per channel / market, aiming to maximize market share and profitability

·       Create and execute innovative strategies and marketing plans that drive awareness, engagement and product adoption, also designing appropriate offers

·       Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales teams and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products

·       Provide the appropriate tools and support to global network of partners to promote the products to their respective customers

·       Survey competitive landscape, to ensure the products remain at the forefront of the market -  be the expert in buyer behavior, how they buy and their buying criteria

·       Cross functional collaboration - Work closely and coordinate marketing activities with internal teams like copy writers, designers, events & digital marketing teams.

 
Minimum required skills and qualifications

·       Bachelor’s in marketing, business, or related field. Master’s degree will be a plus

·       5+ years of core product marketing experience (e.g. market research, product development, positioning, promotion). Experience in Language Products is preferrable.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English is required (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus)

·       Proven experience in developing marketing plans and campaigns, experience in B2B product marketing would also be a plus

·       Excellent people and management skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties around the world

·       Proven problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Ability to develop creative/non-traditional solutions for challenging problems. Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity

·       Working experience in the certification / education industry will be considered an asset

·       Well organized, strong teamwork approach and team motivator, self-driven, flexible and able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment

Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

·       If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

o   A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check

o   Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)

o   HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)

o   Financial background check

o   Employment reference check

·       If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
