Online Reputation Specialist
Curious Ahead, the Digital Marketing arm of V+O Greece, is seeking an Online Reputation Specialist to join its dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be a vital part of the ORM team, responsible for daily client operations and the administration of digital marketing and communication initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be able to effectively safeguard brands' reputation online by controlling and disseminating content that people can view, interact with and be influenced by.
Responsibilities:
- Create and post content throughout the social web environment, and respond to reviews, complaints, and comments from users based on predefined guidelines and policies.
- Collaborate with the team to handle negative publicity, neutralize bad reviews or comments, and implement counteractions.
- Minimize damage in cases of pre-existing or forthcoming crises by implementing beneficial predefined online reputation management practices.
- Monitor the social web environment to quickly identify negative content associated with a client (brand or individual). The candidate will utilize web crawlers and the company's preset alert mechanisms to diligently listen to the social web, identify threats and prevent them before they go viral.
- Evaluate how each client engages with its audience and vice versa to identify prospects or potentially harmful situations.
- Consistently build online reputation using multiple web-based channels, tools and platforms.
Requirements:
Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, PR, Journalism, or a related field.
The candidate should:
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, along with organizational skills, to manage multiple clients simultaneously, communicate effectively, write appealing content (posts, comments, etc.), and organize client reports. Note that excellent writing ability, including the ability to write in different styles and under others' direction, is crucial.
- Have a deep understanding of search engines, social media, blogs, forums, and listening tools (know and actively use them).
- Ability to work independently and flexibly.
- Collaborate closely with other teams.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail.
- Manage high-profile accounts.
- Handle difficult situations and multiple crisis scenarios.
- Be alerted and well-prepared to take immediate action if a brand's reputation is effected.
- Utilize different reputation management tactics to ensure a company's reputation remains intact.
Experience across traditional, digital, and social media related to reputation management issues and crisis management will be a plus.
A strong journalism background and active involvement in blogging, tweeting, or participating in online forums will be considered a significant asset.
