Costa Navarino is in Messinia in the southwest Peloponnese, in one of the most unspoiled and breathtaking landscapes in the Mediterranean. It is currently home to four 5-star deluxe hotels, The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort and The Westin Resort at Navarino Dunes, W-Costa Navarino and Mandarin Oriental at Navarino Bay. W Costa Navarino, exclusively for adults and young adults over 12 years old, offers 226 stylish rooms, 2 bedroom suites and 3 bedroom villas with infinity private pools, staged in the Bay of Navarino with stunning Ionian Sea views, The Watersports Center, The Away Spa and gym with a heated 25m-long lap pool, including the new Navarino Agora, an open marketplace with retail, street food, open-air cinema and exciting programming throughout the day and night.

W Costa Navarino is looking for its next Executive Chef. The Executive Chef will oversee kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, food safety, and cost management. The role involves leading a dynamic kitchen team, developing tailored menus for each outlet, and ensuring strategic planning and resource optimization to exceed guest expectations and deliver a seamless service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise kitchen service across all outlets, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality service.
  • Develop and adapt menus to align with each outlet’s unique concept, ensuring consistency and excellence.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety, while ensuring effective cost control and stock management.
  • Lead and motivate a kitchen team of over 80 associates, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Plan and organize service rosters to optimize resources and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Ensure that all kitchen staff comply with operational standards and procedures to guarantee quality and service excellence.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in similar roles (e.g., 5-star hotels, luxury restaurants, or cruise ships), with proven experience managing multiple restaurants of large capacity and diverse culinary concepts. Luxury hotel experience is preferred.
  • Experience in restaurants with buffet service is a plus.
  • International experience in the culinary industry is highly preferred.
  • Degree or certification in Culinary Arts.
  • Fluency in English. Fluency in Greek (Preferred but not a must)
  • Strong customer orientation and passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Professional attitude with empathy, relational skills, and the ability to influence decision-makers.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in managing stressful situations.
  • Strong teamwork mentality, with the ability to collaborate with hotel decision-makers to achieve goals.
  • Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills, with a focus on results.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience managing, training, and supervising teams.
  • Proficient in management techniques, stock control, supply management, and business indicators.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other hospitality-specific applications.
