In the role of Production Planner, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our production processes run smoothly and efficiently, helping us maintain our reputation for excellence while contributing positively to our family-like work environment. Responsibilities
- Production & Inventory Planning:
- Determine required quantity of materials and production schedules according to the demand
- Create and coordinate production schedules for manufactured and purchased items
- Optimize the production process and inventory management to reduce delays and increase efficiency
- Ensure the availability of materials and products according to production needs
- Inventory Analysis & Management:
- Monitor the inventory in real time and implement strategies to improve their circulation
- Calculate safety stocks and monitor orders to avoid shortages or excess inventories
- Analyze trends in material consumption and replenishment based on historical data and forecasts
- Outsource Production Planning:
- Coordinate production with external suppliers and ensure on-time deliveries
- Monitoring supplier’s compliance (on time deliveries)
- Production Order Management
- Controlling and monitoring the execution of production orders to ensure on-time delivery
- Collaborating with production departments to identify and address delays or other issues
- Service Level:
- Manage and monitor customer orders and ensure their fulfillment according to agreed deadlines (SLAs)
- Develop and implement processes to improve order fulfilment and product delivery to the customers
- Software Enhancements:
- Continuous maintenance and upgrade of data in ERP, MRP, MES, APS.
- Develop and implement new functions to automate processes and enhance efficiency
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor customer service, order fulfillment, inventory, and production scheduling
- Create reports and recommendations for data extraction and decision making
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain & Engineering, or in a related field.
- Proven experience in production planning or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing environments.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work well with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in using planning software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
