BUYER (KIDSWEAR)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Buyer for kidswear products, to develop and execute merchandising strategies that drive sales, optimize margins, increase inventory turnover, and enhance visual presentation. This role requires building strong vendor relationships, negotiating payment terms with both existing and new suppliers, and ensuring a balanced product assortment that meets customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop buy strategy, selection and manage OTB.
• Generates data, creates selling reports and makes recommendations based on the performance by store in order to analyze and communicate business performance.
• Analyzes color, size, class and division selling to provide feedback and acts in order to improve business as well as future purchasing decisions.
• Source and select relevant new brands and partnerships.
• Maintains excellent vendor relationships and execute negotiations to a high level.
• Have a proven awareness of all fashion and market trends, new brands, designers and market influence. 
• Be an efficient stock trader, optimizing and driving the best results for business both in season and at the end of the season.
• Conduct all buying appointments and meetings both in Greece and overseas.
• Any other reasonable ad hoc task as requested by the management.

Skills & Requirements:

• 5 years of related professional experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Business/Retail Merchandising or related field.
• Must have experience managing budget upwards of 1m€.
• Experienced working with kidswear.
• Able to influence and defend point of view.
• Analyze problems timely and effectively.
• Strong working relationships  and communication skills both internally and externally.
• Ability to work in a team and on own initiative.
• Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
• Discreet, professional, well spoken with a collaborative approach to work.
• High level of market awareness and fashion trends.
• Highly proficient in English language.
• High proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must be willing to travel; Travel required 10%.
