Science / ResearchDEMO SA, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturers in injectable facilities, is rapidly growing as per our investment plan and is currently looking for a high caliber R&D MB Supervisor for our established R&D Laboratory in Kryoneri.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Supervise the activities of Microbiology Lab to ensure operations are in accordance to GMP requirements and Standard Operating Procedures of company.
- Educate and train personnel on correct procedures and new analyses methods. Evaluate current methods and recommend changes to save cost and increase efficiency.
- Review, calculate and record analysis data. Draft study protocols, reports and analytical methods.
- Arrange and document work schedules for the efficient operation of R&D Microbiology Lab.
- Responsible for development and validation of microbiological analytical methods to support R&D product development.
- Complete microbiological analysis accurately on any pharmaceutical product, in-process material, raw material or stability with some oversight.
- Document critical observations pertaining to analytical testing in support of product development.
- Interact effectively with team members.
- Participate in OOS investigations, help identify root cause and offer appropriate action plans.
- Maintain expertise in the field of Microbiology by attending relevant seminars and using available reading material.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned to meet departmental and company objectives.
- Comply with all applicable SOPs, GLP, GMP, housekeeping and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or relevant field with post graduate studies (MSc / PhD) in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or relevant field
- The position requires a broad knowledge of microbiology and microbiology techniques (sterility testing, microbial enumeration testing, bacterial endotoxin content, bioassay)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Industry or relevant field.
- Experience in leading & guiding a team will be considered as an asset
- Previous Experience in statistical software will be considered as an asset
- Fluent in Greek & English
- Computer literacy
- Strong problem solving and ability to work independently
- Project management skills with focus on study deliverables, quality and timelines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
