About the Position

Join our family at Amanzoe as an Executive Housekeeper.

Under the direction of the Rooms Division Manager, The Executive Housekeeper is the Head of Department and manages the Housekeeping operations. He/She is committed to providing the highest levels of comfort and hospitality to guests, which leads to achieving maximum guest satisfaction and organizational profitability.

 

  • Developing and implementing housekeeping standards and procedures.
  • Planning and managing the housekeeping department budget.
  • Handles budgeting and controls the department’s expenses.
  • Handles all staff matters, including hiring and training.
  • Inspecting guest rooms, public areas and employee work areas.
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure high standards of service.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and license requirements.
  • Resolves issues and directs teams to meet the hotel’s standards.
  • Shows a high level of organizational awareness and leadership skills.
  • He/She also needs to oversee inventories of linen, supplies and uniforms ensuring required stocks are maintained.
  • Organising the purchase of housekeeping supplies.
  • Supervising and training housekeeping staff.
  • Instructs Housekeeping staff on emergency procedures relating to fire, theft, accident, medical emergency and other threats to hotel and guest security
  • Conducts regular meetings with Housekeeping staff to assist in the efficient and smooth operation of the department.
  • Administers staff rosters and schedules to ensure all Housekeeping functions are maintained and to minimize overtime payment.

About the Successful Candidate

  • A university degree or college diploma in hotel management or business administration is usually required.
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience as a housekeeping supervisor of which at least 2 to 3 years as an assistant Housekeeper.
  • Strong operation/Technical knowledge.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Successful pre-opening experience is an asset.
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal proficiency in the English language.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and housekeeping management software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and cleanliness.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the housekeeping department.
  • Thorough knowledge of housekeeping procedures, equipment, and cleaning products.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to handle and resolve guest complaints or issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the hospitality industry.

This role is based at our Amanzoe in the greater Porto Heli Area - Greece. While we are open to applications from international candidates, we ask that you already possess the right to live and work in Greece without the need for a company-supported work permit.
