SOMMELIER / JUNIOR SOMMELIER
The selected candidate will be wine professional, responsible for supervising wine serving.
JOB RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report to the Restaurant Manager
- Assist with ordering, receiving, storing, organizing wine labels in the restaurant
- Maintain an accurate wine list and assist in the proper mis-en-place for wine service, as well as correct handling, use, storage, and cleaning of all wine service equipment
- Ensure that all wines are served and presented to guests in the proper procedure, while making wine and food recommendations
- Communicate any issues, challenges and complaints to Restaurant Manager in a timely manner
- Always ensure exceptional service, asking for feedback, aiming to the highest guest satisfaction
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene & appearance and follow all health and safety company regulations
- Demonstrate a pleasant & positive professional image to both guests & the rest of the team
- Well presented and professionally groomed at all times
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant
- High School Diploma, WSET Level 3/CMS Level qualification
- Ability to comprehend & communicate in English fluently
- Passionate about wine and exceptional wine service
- Strong skills in selling and upselling
