Wavemaker Hospitality, the leading hotel company in Cyprus and Greece, is looking for experienced and talented individuals as Main Kitchen Cook A' to join the Atlantica Caldera Palace 5* culinary team in Heraklion, Crete island for the summer season 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Handle and portion ingredients according to recipe specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Adhere to standardized recipes and portion sizes.
  • Adjust recipes as needed to meet dietary restrictions or special requests.
  • Monitor and maintain proper food temperatures throughout the cooking process.
  • Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and restocking as needed.
  • Ensure the culinary section adheres to all safety and health regulations
  • Stay updated on culinary techniques and industry trends through continuous learning.
  • Coordinate timing with other cooks and kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of all menu items.

 Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Certificate in culinary arts
  • Strong sense of culinary creativity with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles and food preparation standards
  • Familiarity with a range of cooking and other kitchen equipment
  • Excellent communication skills and an enthusiasm for teamwork
