About the job
Based at Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino within the Food & Beverage Department in Pylos, Messenia, Greece, the Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible to assist the Outlet Manager in the leadership of the service team of the designated outlet, while driving service excellence and delivering business objectives and financial success. The Assistant Restaurant Manager reports to the Restaurant Manager.
As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Supports the Restaurant Manager in both operational and administrative tasks, stepping in during their absence.
- Ensures all operational and quality standards are met consistently.
- Fosters effective teamwork to maximize efficiency in the outlet.
- Assists in supervising duty schedules and ensures compliance with them.
- Oversees outlet maintenance, cleanliness, and collaborates with engineering and housekeeping for regular inspections.
- Manages daily operations and shifts to ensure smooth and efficient service, while maintaining strong communication with the Chef de Cuisine.
As Assistant Restaurant Manager, we expect from you:
- EU passport or Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
- Previous relevant management experience within the luxury hospitality.
- Fluency in English. Greek or any other additional language will be considered as a plus.
- Strong overall computer literacy, not limited to MS Office.
