HETCO TOURS is looking to hire a Senior Reservations/Operations Officer for its Incoming department.

Job Description:

• Handling of reservations and operation procedures for groups of foreign travelers to Greece.
• Responsible to communicate with foreign agents and tour operators, and provide itineraries/costings/offers for group tours to Greece
• Responsible to communicate with suppliers like hotels, restaurants, coach companies, etc, to secure the necessary services for each group
• Responsible to follow up both with clients (agents/tour operators) and suppliers for all necessary arrangements for each group.
• Responsible to keep track of all necessary deadlines for confirmations/cancellations of services, as well as, payments from clients and to suppliers.
• Responsible to source necessary tour leaders, assistants, escorts, and guides according to each group’s itinerary
• Responsible to keep the company’s back-office system updated at all times for each file.
• Handling of emergency phone line (mobile number)
• Ability to monitor e-mails (in case of emergency) during non-office hours.

Position’s necessary requirements:

• Adequate prior experience in similar position.
• Proficient in English
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications
• Practical mathematical and numerical skills
• Communication and negotiation skills
• Team working skills, and ability to work under time pressure
• Crisis management skills, and ability to act professionally, efficiently and quickly during crisis and unforeseen events.

Position’s desired (but not necessary) requirements:

• Proficient in Spanish
• A degree in tourism related studies
• Knowledge of Panasoft “Travel Force” back-office system
