Junior Accountant

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Reconcile invoices and look for inconsistencies
• Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
• Keep both digital and physical financial records
• Participate in quarterly and annual audits
• Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Assist in preparation of financial and statistical statements and reports
• Analyze financial information in order to identify discrepancies
• Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
• Compile and prepare routine reports and summaries
• Assist with other accounting projects
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data

The main requirements for this role are the following:

• BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required
• Minimum 3 years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English
• Business organizational abilities and familiarity with finance regulations
• Ability to recognize numerical errors, good analytical and quantitative abilities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently on assigned duties
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software, specifically Navision will be considered a strong asset
