If yes, we are looking for a Financial Controller & Reporting Specialist to join our Team in Greece!
What You Get To Do In This Role
- Participate in month-end closing activities.
- Responsible for recurring Regulatory (Bank of Greece), Management and Group reporting packages under IFRS and GR GAAP and ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Provide expert financial and accounting advice to local stakeholders and other departments.
- Ensure accuracy of all kinds of deliverables, cross-checking and reconciliation between different reports.
- Manage monthly reconciliation of all general ledger accounts and bank accounts.
- Perform fixed assets register maintenance.
- Ensure proper bookkeeping in accordance with GR GAAP/IFRS.
- Support in implementation, testing and continuous improvement of IT systems.
- Be part of the constant process of automation and optimization.
- Properly apply IFRS in the relevant business processes.
- Participate in the Budgeting and Forecasting activities in the Bank.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis of new business initiatives.
- Apply critical thinking and challenge the inputs from other teams.
Job requirements
What we are looking for:
- BSc in Accounting/Finance or other relevant degree.
- MSc and/or professional qualifications will be considered an advantage (ACCA or ACA or CIMA or CIPFA).
- 5-8 years of proven experience in accounting and financial reporting from the Banking sector and/or BIG 4 accounting firms.
- Advanced knowledge of statutory accounting principles, IFRS and tax legislation.
- Proficient in MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word).
- Fluent level of English, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical skills, high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Outstanding organizational & time management skills.
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
