This position was mainly established for the purpose of supporting the Accounting Department activities. In general the Junior Accountant will contribute to the efficient and effective workings of the Department by executing daily tasks with a strong attention to detail. The candidate will be responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services, with a particular focus on accounts payable and disbursements, cash management support, monthly and year end close support, and participation in the implementation of sound internal and compliance controls. The support to the Department activities will arise specific responsibility for the processing, recording, updating and reconciling fiscal information in compliance with established policies, providing instructions, recommendations and/or accounting support to other personnel, communication with public authorities.
