We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk.
As an Accounts Payable Clerk you will be able to maintain the regular accounting duties for payables within our organization. The main responsibilities include acquiring and processing invoices, assisting in the reconciliation of accounts, and paying or receiving payment from vendors and customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform day to day financial transactions (posting, verifying and recording accounts payable data)
- Reconcile the A/P ledger to ensure that all invoices and payments are properly and timely posted
- Reconcile and communicate discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Understand expense G/L accounts-cost centers and compliance issues around accounts payable processes (double taxation forms, withholding taxes etc)
- Dealing with external and internal queries by phone/email
- Issues stop-payments or purchase order amendments
- Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances; preparing checks
- Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
- Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Requirements
- Working experience as A/P Clerk within the Process-to-Pay (PTP) will be preferred
- Working experience with SAP software will be preferred
- Fluency in English
- Understanding of basic A/P principles
- Experience in MS office especially outlook & excel
- BSc degree in Finance/Accounting Administration
