In order to support our rapid growth we are seeking to hire an experienced Cost Controller.
Position Summary
The Cost Controller is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling food, beverage and disposable cost within the hotel to ensure financial efficiency and profitability. The Cost Controller will work closely with various departments to drive cost-effective strategies and contribute to the overall success of the hotel.
Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Implement and maintain cost control systems to track food, beverage, and disposables expenses.
- Work closely with department heads to establish and monitor budget allocations and financial targets.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory, scheduled (monthly) and unscheduled as per needs, purchase orders, and supplier contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor and control stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory management to minimize waste and losses.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Maintains effective communication with hotel managers and the Head of Cost Controlling.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cost control, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in Excel, financial software, and hotel management systems.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
