Position: Assistant Accountant
Location: Athens (on site)
If you wish to be part of the largest Insurance Broker in Europe and you have:
- BSc in Accounting and/or Finance
- 2-3 years of experience
- Computer literacy, MS Office (excellent use of Microsoft Navision is considered as a plus)
- Excellent communication skills in Greek & English
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
- Effective responsiveness to pressure and tight deadlines

Role Summary:
The successful candidate will serve the major financial accounting areas, including the accounts payable desk, general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, processing and recording transactions, preparing reports and budgets, fact-checking and filing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping
- Collection and verifying company expenses, invoices, receipts, purchases, travel and all type of expenses including routine monitoring of bank account balances, corporate credit/debit cards etc.
- Reconciliation of balances, preparation and payments to suppliers.
- Monthly closing procedures, working with detailed and complex spreadsheets to analyze and review financial results.
- Tax Statements preparation and submission.
- Communicating and corresponding with suppliers.
- Filing and systems updating.
- Reporting discrepancies, mistakes or potential fraud to senior management
- Production and distribution of information requested by external auditors in a timely manner.
- Seek updates on the new tax-accounting regulations.
