About the Role :
As a Network and Systems Engineer, you will be at the forefront of technical service delivery, supporting Cisco's largest customers in the service provider and enterprise market sectors. Your role will focus on resolving network hardware failures onsite at customer premises worldwide. Our team provides unparalleled technical support to field engineers in over 120 countries, ensuring seamless communication and service restoration.
Key Responsibilities :
- Craft Action Plans: Develop Action Plans (VAP) to assist field engineers in fulfilling customer requests.
- Troubleshoot & Restore: Collaborate with field engineers to troubleshoot and restore network services at customer sites.
- Expert Guidance: Offer remote technical expertise to resolve hardware failures and customer issues.
- Task Resolution: Drive assigned tasks to completion, meticulously recording actions and documenting resolutions.
- Collaborate: Engage with various Cisco teams (Logistics, TAC, HTOMs, etc.) to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Shift Coverage: Provide coverage for new tasks Mon-Sun 8 AM - 2 PM CE(S)T, with additional hours dedicated to task completion.
What We're Looking For :
- Customer Service Excellence: Outstanding customer service and phone skills.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (both written & verbal).
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science, networking administration, information technology, or a related field.
- Cisco Expertise: Experience with Cisco product support; CCNA certification is a significant plus.
- Technical Acumen: Strong analytical skills and technical knowledge to address moderate complexity network problems.
- Hardware Proficiency: Ability to support hardware across all Cisco product families (UCS, Routing & Switching, Security, Wireless, Telepresence, etc.).
- Server Knowledge: Familiarity with Cisco UCS servers and general hardware troubleshooting.
- Firmware & Configuration: Experience with loading firmware and applying configurations to Cisco devices.
- Restoration Skills: Proficiency in restoring from ROMmon or failed upgrades.
