PeopleCert is looking for a Telesales Team Leader, who will oversee a high-performing team of Telesales Agents, implement effective sales strategies, and drive business growth while delivering exceptional customer experiences. Operating in a dynamic 24/7/365 environment, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing performance, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering team development.
The Online Test Center operates 24/7/365.
As a Telesales Team Leader, your tasks will include the following:
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of Telesales Agents to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Monitor agents’ performance and provide real-time support and guidance to ensure duties are carried out effectively.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions to address improvement areas and enhance team capabilities.
- Take proactive action to address any performance or operational gaps, aligning with directives from the Telesales Director and Supervisors.
- Set clear, measurable goals for team members and track progress against targets.
- Provide detailed performance reports to management, highlighting achievements, areas for improvement, and actionable insights.
- identify training needs and facilitate skill-building initiatives to enhance agents’ sales and communication effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging skill development and sharing best practices.
- Leverage insights from customer interactions to propose improvements to systems, products, and processes that enhance the customer journey.
- Ensure that all team actions align with the company’s customer-centric values and global operational standards.
- Participate in and coordinate projects to meet deadlines, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet business needs.
- Execute a range of additional tasks and involve in activities as assigned by their supervisor.

What we look for:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Customer Service sector.
- Proven experience as a Telesales Team Leader, with a strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals.
- Excellent command of the English language (native-like or C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus).
- Advanced computer literacy is required. ECDL Advanced level certification is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Well organized, self-driven, flexible and able to work in a high-volume, fast- paced, and deadline-driven environment.
- Availability to work in 24/7 rotating shifts (including some nightshifts on a monthly basis, weekends and holidays).

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)
Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.
If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:
- A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
- Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
- HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
- Financial background check
- Employment reference check.
- If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.
In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
