Μachine Shop Shift Supervisor Engineer
for its manufacturing plant in Drama
The Shift Supervisor is tasked with monitoring work operations on a daily basis and actively assisting or providing direction to subordinates as required.
Responsibilities
- Supervises Machine shop’s Team leaders and machine operators to produce product components that follows design specifications.
- Overall schedule of department’s assignments and acts as technical advisor to Team Leaders.
- Coordination with other departments’ supervisors for production flow issues.
- Evaluates the performance of subordinate level workers.
- Conducts time and costing studies.
- Ensures and verifies documentation is in order and understood, such as production drawings, BOM’s, production orders.
- Responsible for addressing equipment needs.
- Responsible for in-process issues.
- Supervises machine tools’ maintenance operations and provide technical support to Team Leaders.
- Train new employees and assist with facility lay-out and workflow.
Required academic background, knowledge and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
- 3+ years of hands on experience in a manufacturing environment (machine shop floor).
- Knowledge of sheet metal and solid part processing equipment.
- Experience in CNC programming (turning center, milling center)
- Experience in 3D design software, preferably SolidWorks
- Excellent knowledge of English (oral & written)
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (word, excel, ppt), SAP a plus
- Able to work in rotating shifts.
