Responsibilities: To be in charge of the maintenance department
• Plan, organize, execute and supervise all maintenance operations of the hotel.
• To organize, implement, oversee and take corrective action regarding all budgets, directives and procedures of the maintenance department of the hotel
• Implement all health and safety specifications and directives of Wavemaker Hospitality
• Supervise all maintenance operations in all hotel departments and external partners
• Monitor all daily procedures regarding pools and biological treatment plants.
• Take part in the recruitment and selection of maintenance staff
• Perform constant training and development of all maintenance staff in terms of Health & Safety
• Oversee daily all staff’s performance, productivity and discipline (adherence to staff handbook regulations)
• Make sure that all mechanical equipment is operating properly
• Make sure that all guest rooms are properly maintained and on time during summer operation
• Perform constant energy control to achieve the lowest possible expenses in energy cost
Reporting to: Hotel General Manager
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance management role within the hospitality industry
- Extensive experience in engineering roles, demonstrating a deep understanding of engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address engineering challenges and make critical decisions.
- Fluent in English
- Awareness of and adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
