Sandblu Resort, Santorini, is currently in search of Chief Engineer.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of all resort facilities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the smooth functioning of all equipment and systems.
- Manage and lead the engineering team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of the resort’s infrastructure to identify and address potential issues proactively.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and projects.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
- Manage the engineering department’s budget, including procurement of supplies and equipment.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with other departments to support their operational needs and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other relevant tools.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
- Fluency in English and Greek, both written and spoken.
