Olympus Marine Group Inc. is seeking candidates to reinforce his engineering team.
Be responsible to compile and review all the technical documentation to be included on the project documentation.
Perform hardware specification, as well as, define the system architecture (automation/electrical), conceptual design of electrical systems, control panels, MCC panels.
Be responsible to maintain the electrical standards, for panels and site installation, in cooperation with specialized suppliers.
Purchase of automation and electrical equipment and software licenses.
Ensure all projects are delivered in a timely manner, in line with the project plan, the budget and cost constraints.
PLC programming preferred but not mandatory, electrical engineering - during the project where it is required. Specially for small/mid-size projects, which you can be the unique people involved in.
Act on pre-project phase, defining solutions as per customer need (understanding), as well as, describe quotations and consolidate costs (Hardware and Services)
Build and maintain a good customer relation and work proactively with quick analysis, decisions and actions.
Manage sub-contractors and ensure compliance with all relevant OMG standards, in the design, installation and commissioning of automation/electrical sy
Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial or marine environment and electrical design will be considered as an asset
Knowledge of PLC programming and especially Schneider’s Ecostruxure Machine Expert or CODESYS 3 will be considered as an asset
Good understanding of LAN networks and Industrial Communication Fieldbuses (Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU etc.)
Ability to read and generate technical drawings
Ability to solve engineering problems
Familiar with vessel electrical systems will be considered as an asset. Good understanding of automation and controls.
Excellent knowledge of English language.
Very good knowledge in electrical design programs such as (Autocad, eplan, solidworks etc.
