R&D Electrical Engineer in Drama, Greece

Scope

The Electrical Engineer contributes to the design, manufacture and testing of components, devices and systems.

Responsibilities

• Designs and verifies hardware (analog/digital circuits) and develops embedded systems.
• Designs and tests printed circuit boards (PCBs) with EMC and manufacturing guidelines.
• Collaborate with verification, process, and test engineers to debug, optimize and conceptualize prototypes.
• Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by means of research and development.
• Act as a lead engineer in medium projects.
• Schedule tasks and report progress to project leader.
• Confirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing and validation methods
• Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements.
• Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.
• Instruct junior engineers when necessary.
• Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Completes projects by training and guiding technicians.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Required academic background, knowledge and experience:

• Bachelor's degree (Polytechnic School) in Electrical Engineering is required. Master's degree is considered a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in hardware development, software and system design within Telecom/Power electronics and manufacturing environments (optional).
• Electronic Design (Analog/Digital) – Creative design capability, architectural organization of hardware, firmware and software to meet system specifications, schematic/simulation/layout via CAD tools.
• Microcontroller fundamentals – Algorithm development using C, C++, architecture, interrupt processing, registers, assembly code.
• Basic Knowledgeable in protocols - I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, USB, CAN, LIN, SNMP.
• Previous experience in the power, energy, defense, industrial automation and/or control industries; or telecommunications, RF applications & testing, and DC circuits will be a plus
• Strong organizational and time management skills with emphasis on handling details.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills .
• This position requires approximately 20% travel.
