The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of ‘Senior Hydrogeologist’, for its premises in Chalkidiki. The position will be reported to the Superintendent Geotechnical of Technical Services department in Skouries.

Main Responsibilities:

·      Conduct hydrological assessments and modeling to support mining operations.

·      Analyze water resource data and provide recommendations for water management.

·      Develop and implement water monitoring programs.

·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

·      Provide technical expertise on water-related projects and initiatives.

·      Conduct field investigations and data collection.

·      Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

·      Performing independent studies, analyses, interpretations, and conclusions.

·      Delivering internal and external status reports, summaries, analyses, warnings/bulletins, and directives as required by technical or regulatory demands.

·      Providing knowledge and service as required to resolve issues or address concerns related to Hydrogeological engineering.

·      Liaise with other technical specialists including, geologists, mine planning team, environmental and other disciplines.

·      Perform surface and underground inspections.

·      Mentor and coach technical staff.

·      Display safety leadership actively contribute to safety policy and new initiatives and implement change as directed by the Geotechnical Manager.

·      Manage drilling contractors and sub-consultants.

·      Where required work with contract drillers for water drainage layouts, installation of monitoring systems like VWP’s.

Requirements:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Geology / Geoscience.

·      Master's degree in Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field would be considered as an asset.

·      5+ years experience in a Geological / Hydrogeological engineering role.

·      Minimum of 2 years of experience in hydrological modelling and analysis.

·      Experience working in the Mining & Metals industry is preferred.

·      Strong knowledge of water resource management principles and practices.

·      Advanced knowledge of modeling software including but not limited to Leapfrog, PumpSIM, and Deswik.

·      Strong background in project management and working through people to get tasks completed.

·      Strong technical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

·      Excellent organizing, strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, and report writing skills.

·      Ability and willingness to mentor and train junior and intermediate engineers.

·      Strong attention to detail and accuracy

·      Proficient in verbal and written English is required.

·      Driving License.
