TITAN Greece has an excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety Engineer for our Plant in Elefsina, Greece. The position reports to the Health and Safety Director of the Greek Region. The primary scope of this role is to promote and monitor all issues related to occupational health and safety for Titan’s Elefsina Plant in accordance with corporate policies and legislation to meet company’s business requirements.

• Identify risks and take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of all employees and partners
• Draft risk assessment reports and implement approved safety plans and programs and monitor employees’ compliance with safety policies
• Organize inspections at the plant to ensure the compliance with the H&S guidelines and make suggestions to improve specific health and safety conditions and create a healthy work environment; Perform preventive checks of the equipment that pertains to the safety of the facilities and staff
• Supervise the systematic application of health and safety standards within the framework of Greek legislation
• Investigate and analyze near misses and other incidents to identify potential risks and the situations and behaviors that cause them
• Maintain complete and accurate records of safety activities and incident occurrences, and develop periodic reports to determine safety trends and needs
• Design, develop and implement safety training and awareness programs for plant employees and contractors
• Ensure that the Occupational Safety Guidelines (OSG), Occupational Safety Analyses (OSA) and policies and procedures on health and safety matters are applied
• Maintain the Health and Safety Management System (OHSAS 18001 /ISO 45001)

• Polytechnic School Graduate in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering
• At least 3 years of working experience in H&S or in production and maintenance department in an industrial environment
• Knowledge of workplace safety and health issues and relevant laws and regulations
• Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety is desirable
• Knowledge of risk analysis, accident prevention and improvement of consequences
• Solid observation skills with great attention to detail to recognize hazards and unsafe conditions
• Communication with internal and external parties in a collaborative, influencing and positive manner
• Creative problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement attitude
• Fluency in Greek and English (oral & written)
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Military Service fulfilled (if applicable)
