Alumil, a leader in the research, development, and production of architectural aluminum systems, is seeking a highly motivated R&D Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Your Role
As an R&D Systems Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and developing innovative engineering solutions that improve the functionality and efficiency of our aluminum systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore and implement new technologies and techniques that will enhance our products and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for the design of new profiles and components within architectural systems.
- In charge of thoroughly testing applications of new components through hands-on, real-world evaluations.
- Take charge of designing components and machining processes for both innovative and established architectural systems.
- Responsible for crafting innovative 3D component-profile collaborations within architectural systems.
- Collaborate with suppliers and production on technical issues of dies and molds.
- Prepare the necessary systems for certification by compiling comprehensive technical documentation, oversee the sample preparation process, and liaise with independent certification laboratories.
- Get involved in the process of pre-testing and certifying samples in the test chamber at our Kilkis facilities.
- Adhere to series development schedules.
- Support other departments on technical issues regarding the architectural systems.
- Engage with suppliers to ensure adherence to technical specifications, facilitate improvements in supplied components, and conduct evaluations of sample applications.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a university or technical institution in Engineering (Mechanical, Product Design, or a related field).
- Proven experience in R&D and systems engineering, preferably in the materials or construction sector.
- Proficient in design software, with particular expertise in AutoCAD and Inventor.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Creativity and sense of accountability on the job.
