The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of ‘Ventilation Engineer’ | ‘Μηχανικός Αερισμού’, for its premises in Chalkidiki. The position will be reported to the Senior Ventilation Engineer of the Technical Services department in Skouries.

Main Responsibilities:

·      Design and develop ventilation plans for underground mining, ensuring safety compliance and industry best practices.

·      Inspect, assess, and troubleshoot ventilation systems regularly.

·      Implement monitoring systems to track ventilation performance and air quality.

·      Calculate airflow requirements, pressure losses, and fan capacities.

·      Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of ventilation equipment.

·      Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and safety teams for optimal ventilation.

·      Integrate ventilation designs into mine plans with planning and engineering teams.

·      Stay informed on new ventilation technologies and regulations.

·      Prepare and maintain detailed ventilation reports and documentation.

·      Use VentSim software for system design and optimization.

·      Perform airflow modeling to ensure sufficient ventilation throughout the mine.

·      Analyze monitoring data to identify inefficiencies or hazards.

·      Develop strategies to improve ventilation and airflow distribution.

·      Ensure compliance with mining regulations on ventilation and air quality.

·      Prepare reports for regulatory agencies.

·      Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures for air quality hazards.

·      Collaborate with safety teams to manage ventilation-related risks.

·      Train mine personnel on ventilation principles and safety procedures.

·      Promote awareness and accountability for ventilation issues among mine staff.

Requirements:

·      Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or related field.

·      A master’s degree in mining would be considered as an asset.

·      Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification

·      1- 2 year of experience working as a Ventilation Engineer or mining for an underground mine operations.

·      Proficiency in VentSim software for ventilation design and modeling.

·      Proficient computer knowledge of Microsoft, Deswik and Autodesk Packages

·      Strong understanding of underground mine ventilation principles, including airflow dynamics, heat management, and gas control.

·      Familiarity with advanced ventilation techniques, such as auxiliary ventilation.

·      Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards for mine ventilation.

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for effective ventilation management.

·      Clear communicator, capable of explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences.

·      Committed to safety and adherence to protocols.

·      Effective both in teamwork and independent task performance.

·      Very good verbal and written communication skills in English.

·      Driving License.
