The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of “Cost Engineer”, for its premises in Skouries Halkidiki. The position will report to the Manager – Open Pit Mobile Maintenance of the Open Pit Mobile Maintenance Department, based in Skouries.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains the Budget File System
- Consolidates information from budgets and projections
- Compares information from different Budgets and Projections
- Documents information related to Budgets and Projections (Considerations, Opportunities, Risks)
- Coordinates with the internal areas of Maintenance the preparation of the budget
- Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly expense summaries
- Verifies the correct allocation of expenses and takes corrective actions
- Requests information from suppliers and coordinates with Accounting the monthly Provisions of the assigned areas
- Tracks outstanding payments to suppliers and contractors (Service Orders, Direct Charges, and Valuations)
- Requests and tracks reversals with Accounting
- Identifies problems in the allocation of expenses, proposes solutions, defines procedures, trains personnel and follows up
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Civil (or equivalent)
- 6 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience in a high-pressure environment
- Exposure to Change Management methods/technologies
- Exposure to Asset Control methods/technologies
- Exposure to Continuous Improvement methods/technologies
- Strong commitment to safety, environment, and health
- Ability to interact positively with all workshop personnel, showing genuine concern for their safety and well-being
- Proficiency in using computer-based maintenance systems (SAP)
- Ability to contribute to achieving cost/budget control goals
- Excellent time management skills; able to work unsupervised and adjust priorities when necessary
- Fluent in Greek and English
- Ability to work under pressure
- Drivers license (B Category)
