The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of ‘Senior Ventilation Engineer’ | ‘Ανώτερος/η Μηχανικός Αερισμού’, for its premises in Skouries Chalkidiki. The position will be reported to the Superintendent - Mining Engineering of the Technical Services department in Skouries.

Main Responsibilities:

·      Lead and manage ventilation projects from design to installation and maintenance.

·      Conduct ventilation assessments to identify potential hazards and implement effective solutions.

·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of ventilation systems into mine design and operations.

·      Use airflow modeling and simulations to optimize ventilation performance.

·      Monitor and improve ventilation systems, identifying areas for enhancement.

·      Perform regular inspections and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation.

·      Utilize VentSim software for designing and optimizing underground ventilation systems.

·      Provide training and guidance to mine personnel on ventilation principles and safety best practices.

Requirements:

·      Bachelor's degree as Mining Engineer or Mineral Resources Engineer.

·      A master’s degree in mining would be considered as an asset.

·      Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.

·      At least 3 years of experience working as a Ventilation Engineer.

·      At least 5 years working within the mining industry.

·      Knowledge of Greek Mining Regulations and industry standards for mine ventilation.

·      Strong understanding of underground mine ventilation, including airflow dynamics, heat management, and gas control.

·      Experience with ventilation modeling software (e.g., VentSim).

·      Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Deswik, and Autodesk software packages.

·      Familiarity with monitoring devices and advanced techniques for air quality assessment in underground mines.

·      Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address ventilation challenges effectively.

·      Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex concepts clearly.

·      Solid project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

·      Commitment to safety standards and strict adherence to safety protocols.

·      Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

·      Driving License.
