Travel Accountant & Finance Assistant Responsibilities:
1. Travel Accounting & Accounts Control: Manage and reconcile client accounts related to travel expenses, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of travel-related costs.
2. Invoicing Procedures: Execute the invoicing process, ensuring accuracy, timely issuance, and compliance with company policies. Address and resolve discrepancies promptly.
3. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment to travel vendors and accurate receipt of payments from clients. Maintain up-to-date records.
4. Expense Monitoring: Monitor travel-related expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Collaborate with vendors to optimize cost-efficiency.
5. Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports on travel expenditures, providing precise and timely information to support management decisions.
6. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate in developing travel budgets and forecasts. Track financial performance against targets and offer insights for adjustments.
7. Internal Controls: Support the implementation and enhancement of internal control policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with financial and industry standards.
8. Data Analysis: Analyze financial data related to travel operations to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights for strategic planning.
9. Collaboration: Work closely with travel management and cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and maintain financial accuracy.
10. Administrative Support: Assist in general accounting tasks, document management, and audit preparation related to travel financials. Ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with travel industry financial processes is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting ERPs, especially SoftOne, and other financial software.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
