We are looking for an agile and highly motivated Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, in compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. The position also involves the development and management of comprehensive compensation and benefits programs. This dual role requires strategic thinking, a solid understanding of payroll practices, and hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records; participate actively in payroll calculations.
- Process monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with Greek Employment Law, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Submit required forms electronically to public institutions (e.g., Ergani, DYPA, EFKA).
- Handle employee relations tasks, including new hires, resignations, contract terminations, and employment changes.
- Generate analytical reports and insights regarding payroll and benefits.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in payroll operations and implement best practices.
- Help out with the design, implementation, and manage competitive total compensation and benefits packages aligned with company goals.
- Participate in salary and labor market surveys to benchmark compensation and benefits.
- Develop and deploy communication strategies and success metrics for compensation programs.
- Assist in compensation and benefits projects such as annual salary reviews, performance bonuses, and incentive programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Payroll & Compensation or a similar position.
- In-depth knowledge of Greek employment law and payroll procedures.
- Proficiency in payroll management software, including the Ergani system.
- Strong understanding of compensation principles and benefits administration.
- Experience with job evaluation, job analysis, and HR systems.
- Extensive skills in using HRIS and data reporting tools.
- SAP knowledge will be a strong asset.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and quantitative analysis skills.
