HR Specialist (semi-remote/full year job)
Lead HR functions & administrations critical to maintaining a supportive, high-performing, and guest-centered environment. In this role, you’ll ensure our people-focused culture by overseeing employee development and engagement, all while ensuring smooth HR operations in line with Greek labor laws and MHG Talent Strategy. With the collaboration of a fully supportive Central Services HR Department of MHG, you will lead all established policies & procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Department Heads to ensure the availability of the required staff to achieve high standards of products and services, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Monitor employee performance and development through Department Heads, providing guidance and feedback.
- Manage the communication of policies and procedures and monitor their implementation.
- Manage the employee grievance and disciplinary procedures (warnings, etc.).
- Responsible for all HR administrative management for the hotel.
- Ensure compliance with the hotel’s internal rules and regulations.
- Manage work permits in collaboration with the MHG Talent Acquisition Department.
- Coordinate employee performance appraisal processes and provide relevant feedback.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of employee areas (staff restaurant, accommodations, lockers, etc.).
TRAINING DUTIES
- Coordinate and monitor the hotel’s Annual Training Plan.
- Work with Department Heads to identify training needs.
- Lead the monitoring of department standards according to the "Departmental Operations Manuals".
- Provide training in the following areas:
- Orientation Training
- Hygiene and Safety
- Fire Safety
- Executive and Specialized Staff Training Programs
Qualifications / personal characteristics:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR role.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to create/manage spreadsheet files.
- Fluent in Greek and English (both written and spoken).
- Strong organizational skills and analytical thinking.
EDUCATION
- Certification in HR / Talent Management from an international educational institute (preferably).
