Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino
Located on the southwest coast of the Peloponnese, one of the most unspoiled and breath-taking landscapes in the Mediterranean, and 45 minutes’ drive from Kalamata International Airport.

The beachfront resort is part of the sustainable resort destination of Costa Navarino, a well-established tourism destination which includes 3 other resorts. It comprises of 99 suites and villas, all with outdoor terraces and sea views, along with seven restaurants and bars.

Scope of Position:

The Director of IT will be responsible for the strategic direction and operation of the IT Department.  He will have the overall responsibility for the organisation’s networks, systems, hardware, software, and cloud computing operations following local and MOHG guidelines. Develop a continuous process of education for the operational users in system usage to achieve business goals. Monitor and manage all service level agreements to ensure consistent and timely service delivery of all vendors. Execute assigned tasks independently and ensure colleagues in the IT Department are coached and guided.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages IT department operations plans, policies and procedures and align with the overall company goals and objectives.
  • Anticipates future business needs, identifies proactive solutions to satisfy needs, work with corporate IT to review and deploy local initiatives when required.
  • Defines the strategic direction of the hotels IT infrastructure.
  • Leads technology innovation in hotel and keep abreast of and research new technologies.
  • Manages CAPEX and OPEX budgeting along with the required cost controls; Manage IT contracts review, renew and approval and manage local vendor relationship.
  • Oversees the IT department to ensure appliance of quality according to MOHG Legendary Quality Standards
  • Oversees information security and other regulatory requirements on cybersecurity and data privacy.
  • Manages internal and external audit and compliance program and ensure hotel is compliant with internal and external requirements.
  • Oversees MOHG standard security controls enforcement and maintain a secured IT environment.
  • Manages incident response program and ensure all security incident are handled properly.
  • Provides information security training to new joined colleagues and support with HR to ensure all colleague understand Information Security Policy.
  • Leads project management for new application, system upgrade, renovation etc.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Previous relevant experience in five-star hotels.
  • Experience in a leadership role managing IT operation and business needs.
  • Experience with
    • Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, virtualized server platform and Office 365 platform.
    • Wired network infrastructure, which includes firewall, router, switch, and WAN connections.
    • Wireless network infrastructure, which includes controller and access point, heat maps.
    • Cybersecurity system and tasks, which include end point protection, IPS/IDS, SIEM, vulnerability scan and penetration test.
    • IPTV, digital signage, and background music system
    • Managing security controls, compliance, BCP planning, incident response and risk.
    • Managing hotel operation applications
    • Project management in a leadership role in managing all aspects of IT projects.
    • Manages IT department budget and P&L.
  • Knowledge of specific hospitality industry applications is desirable.
  • Must be able to assist hotel guests with technical requirements and problems, internet issues and in-room technology.
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in Greek & English language.
