We are looking for an IT Specialist to help design and manage a scalable and efficient in-memory database system on Azure, ensuring low-latency access for data receivers. The ideal candidate will have experience in deploying and optimizing Azure-based solutions with a focus on simplicity, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

1. System Design and Deployment:
• Deploy and manage an in-memory database using Azure Cache for Redis or similar technologies.
• Host and configure data receivers using Azure App Services or Virtual Machines for low-latency access.
2. Networking and Connectivity:
• Configure Azure Virtual Networks (VNet) to ensure secure communication between components.
• Use Azure Private Link or VNet Integration for secure and fast connections.
3. Performance and Optimization:
• Monitor and optimize the performance of the in-memory database and data receivers.
• Implement basic clustering or replication techniques to enhance performance and availability.
4. Security and Monitoring:
• Implement standard security practices, including encryption and role-based access control (RBAC).
• Set up monitoring tools like Azure Monitor or Application Insights to track system health.
5. Collaboration and Documentation:
• Collaborate with developers to ensure systems meet application needs.
• Maintain clear and concise documentation for system setup and maintenance.

Qualifications

Technical Skills:

• Cloud Platforms:
• Basic to intermediate experience with Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Azure Cache for Redis, and VNets.
• Database Systems:
• Knowledge of in-memory databases (Redis or Memcached) and basic concepts of caching and replication.
• Networking:
• Familiarity with configuring Azure Virtual Networks and secure connections.
• Scripting and Automation:
• Basic scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell or Bash) for automation.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience with cloud-based systems, preferably Azure.
• Hands-on experience with deploying and managing virtual machines, app services, or similar infrastructure.
• Experience with basic performance monitoring tools like Azure Monitor or third-party tools.
• Familiarity with application integration and API workflows.

Certifications (Preferred but not Required):

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

Soft Skills:

• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
