Job Summary

Ensures that all hardware & software systems running within the resorts are maintained to a level that delivers the most efficient service for our internal & external customers and that they follow One&Only Resorts standards of operations. Provides supports to the users of Information systems through direct interaction and through the identification and co-ordination of our ongoing training needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the information system function within the resorts using appropriate systems management procedures and practices to ensure the operating effectiveness and integrity of data.
  • Assists with all aspects of implementing new and innovative business concepts.
  • Provides assistance to all computer users for all types of program, to enable them to perform their duties smoothly.
  • Assists the IT Manager in the entire network maintenance, this includes administration and documentation of computer networks, telephone and cable TV networks.
  • Assist the IT Manager in systems automation, configuration and maintenance of LAN application, including implementation, coordination, control, usage monitoring, security, troubleshooting, training, and development of specialized procedures.
  • Controls day-to-day operation of data communication networks, as well as installation and repair of equipment’s.
  • Is responsible for overall coordination, control and maintenance of staff personal computers within the network.
  • Evaluates, selects and implements new products or services, comprehensive systems analysis and progressive support methodologies for all applications.
  • Is creative, positive and delivers new ideas for constant improvement of computer networking.
  • Assists the IT Manager in systems management and new projects.
  • Use and handles IT equipment with care and according to Manager’s instructions.
  • Attends briefings and meetings as requested.
  • Stays updated with developments in the field of Information Technology.
  • Attends all necessary trainings.
  • Maintains high spirit among the IT Department colleague, as well as other resort’s colleagues.
  • Responsible for daily backup and restores
  • Support & Maintenance of IT infrastructure including telecommunications.
  • Implement technology-related processes, systems, and telecommunications.
  • Installation of software/hardware upgrades in compliance with the Resorts corporate policies & legal requirements.
  • Provide Systems Administration.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
  • Attends regular necessary trainings in Finance operating systems, any teambuilding and extra-curricular sporting activities as requested.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Networks Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience as an IT assistant professional including networks, Opera PMS /Micros 9700 POS system to medium to large organisation and operating multiple complex IT software systems.
  • Possess excellent communication and time management skills, have strong attention to details and quality of work. You will be able to work under pressure and towards deadlines, be able to work as part of a team, and be a self-motivated and approachable and friendly person.
