About the role

There is currently a job opening “Database Administrator”, in our department of Information Tech/Systems. In this role, you will be responsible for managing core database systems critical to our business, with a primary focus on SQL Server and Microsoft technologies, including Power BI online services. What you will do:

• Install, configure, operate, and maintain database software and related infrastructure to ensure seamless functionality
• Design, create, and manage databases for development, testing, and production environments, ensuring high availability and reliability
• Collaborate with programmers, IT project managers, and both internal and external stakeholders to support application development and data analytics initiatives
• Oversee the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of SQL Server and Oracle databases, ensuring efficiency and stability
• Ensure database security, minimize downtime, and optimize performance, implementing best practices for tuning and response time improvements
• Maintain database integrity, enforce backup and develop robust restore procedures

 

You fit, if you cover the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or another related field
• 2-4 years of professional working experience in a similar position
• Fluency in oral and written Greek and English
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Power BI
• Familiarity related to Oracle Databases will be considered a benefit

 

And you have competence in:

• Demonstrating a positive attitude with a collaborative approach
• Communicating effectively in a structured manner, with all stakeholders
• Working under pressure, managing changing priorities and meeting deadlines
• Handling confidential information by demonstrating high sense of professionalism
