Our legal team is expanding, and we are excited to invite a talented individual to join us as Corporate Legal Counsel. In this in-house position, you will play a crucial role in addressing a variety of legal issues related to corporate operations and real estate transactions.
Your responsibilities will include drafting corporate minutes, drafting and reviewing contracts, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
This position offers a collaborative environment and is based in our headquarters located in Athens, where you will have the opportunity to work closely with diverse teams across the organization.
Responsibilities
1. Corporate Book-keeping:
- Advising on compliance with Company Law 4548/2018 and other applicable laws.
- Drafting resolutions of the Board of Directors and of the Shareholders.
- Assisting with required corporate filings and in the issuance of corporate cerficates from the competent authorities.
- Maintaining KYC records for the company and its shareholders and circulating them to external stakeholders (e.g., banks).
2. Contract drafting/review
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various day-to-day contracts, such as services agreements, project agreements, supplier agreements, rental agreements etc.
- Ensuring all contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations and align with the company’s approved templates (if any).
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand contractual needs and provide legal advice.
3. General legal support:
- Conducting legal research and providing general legal support to various departments within the company on ad-hoc or special projects and initiatives, as required from time to time.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws. Master of Laws desired.
- Admitted to a Greek Bar Association - At least 5 years of relevant experience with a leading law firm or in-house legal department.
- Excellent knowledge of Company Law 4548/2018
- Bilingual drafting ability in Greek and English
- Comfortable with using technology, including AI applications
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Highly organized with the ability to manage simultaneous projects, prioritize and meet business objectives
- Ability to work both collaboratively as a team member and independently
- Taking full ownership of workload and effectively managing deadlines
