About the role:

Responsible for supervising the hotel’s day to day operations. Responsible for delivering an outstanding guest experience, and support effectively the brand manifesto. Effectively managing the overall delivery and implementation of the Grand Forest operation’s strategy. The successful candidate will also support the General Manager in the daily operation, for the continuous reception and registration of hotels reservations in the Property Management System. Primary responsibilities & objectives:

  • Ensuring that all departments deliver the expected LQA level of standards and a guest centric service, and identify opportunities for cross and up-selling
  • Ensuring that the Housekeeping department delivers the expected level of standards in a “lean” and safe manner
  • Monitoring operations and guest relations issues and ensuring they are dealt with promptly and meet the Grand Forest brand standards
  • Creating regular and on demand reports based on guest reviews, maintenance issues, purchase data and other operational matters.
  • Responsible for the auditing of the purchases pertaining to operations
  • Responsible for the training and development of the team to ensure performance excellence.
  • Oversee events and conferences and ensure that the Grand Forest brand standards are delivered to the maximum
  • Safeguard security and compliance, adhering to the health and safety regulations

  • Collaborating and communicating with all internal departments to ensure exceeding guest satisfaction.
  • Complying with company procedures and safety policies.
  • Performing duties on a daily checklist.
  • Ensuring that an outstanding experience for our guests is created and demonstrated through positive feedback and guest reviews.
  • Ensuring a cost-efficient and “lean” culture in operations
  • Ensuring high quality in operations
  • Ensuring accurate and timely audits
  • Produce accurate, periodic and on-demand reports to be provided to the Hotel Director for decision making
  • Ensuring the team are demonstrating performance excellence in all aspects of their work
  • Ensuring that all supervised employees adhere to the company’s policies and regulations, and demonstrate a behavior that promotes the company’s values
  • Implementing health and safety regulations that are enforced in Grand Forest
  • Promote effectively the brand’s standards to business and individual customers through event management
  • Increase profitability and revenue streams through cross selling and upselling strategies

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a high-end boutique hotel, yacht or airline with exposure to various guest and team members’ profile styles.
  • Proficient knowledge of English language and of MS Office.
  • Well-groomed with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Educational background in Tourism and Hospitality
  • Confidence and Decisiveness
  • Computer literate with PMS and CRM software
  • Communication and Active Listening skills
  • Strategic Overview and Analytical skills
  • Strong ethos and personal values
